Driv Athletics

Developing the brand and online platform of the inner-athlete developers.

A platform helping to drive and inspire amateur athletes.

Driv athletics is an online platform aiming to inspire and develop amateur athletes through their focused, hollistic training plans. The plans are designed to get users active and to accomplish their goals of completing distances from 5km to a marathon.
In its infancy I was tasked with creating a brand, social media content, and their online platform.
Looking at the visual landscape of the running and fitness sphere we created a colour palette that stripped away that which was felt unnecessary so that the user could easily hone in on the message.
The name Driv comes from the word drive. In athletics terminology this is a stage of a race, usually sprint races, where the athlete has finished accelerating and works to maintain the force they have created. Removing the e from the word helped to distance it from automobile terminology, and also allowed us to play up the shape of the v - which we distorted in the logo to mimick the shape of a track.

For the digital platform i started with wireframes and defining  the user flow. The digital platform houses the training plans for different distances and stages of development; as well as a blog section to further info users. Once wireframes where finalised I began to digitise these as I was using the platform webflow to develop the site. Once happy with this stage I applied and refined a visual style (UI) keeping it in line with the brand.
Once this was complete I then took this visual style developed through the website and applied it to social media graphics. As the social media account was only being set up I worked to include the logo and brand elements within the initial imagery to reinforce it to users.
